Multimedia

Multimedia Area:

The Multimedia area is situated on Q+3, adjacent to the audio-visual collection. Users can avail of facilities there to:

  • View DVD, Blu-ray and VHS
  • Listen to CDs, cassettes, vinyl records
  • Access audio and visual material from the web to support coursework and research e.g. Youtube
  • Access e-learning tools such as Blackboard, library databases, e-journals

Primary function:  to support access to the Library’s collections, e.g. films and music recommended by lecturers. Users should be aware of the usage policy for the Multimedia area posted in each booth.

Instructions: (to help you use the equipment) are posted in each booth. You may also ask for assistance at the Q+3 information desk.

Headphones: We ask users to supply their own headphones.  Standard 3.5mm jack headphones are required.

Group viewing: facilities are available in two of the Q+3 group research rooms (they can be booked at the Q+3 Information desk).
